About UBrander / About Me

About UBrander This site is about university branding – how to do it, how not to do it, and how to tell the difference. The reason I started this blog is that I wanted to share what I’ve learned, have a place to put the things I’ve learned, and interact with people, like you, so I can learn more.

Agree with me? Disagree? Leave a comment! Comments are an integral part of UBrander. The more we learn from each other, the less we have to pay marketing consultants. =)

About Me I am 36, married and live in Southern California Newberg, Oregon (near Portland). I work at Biola University in La Mirada, Calif., where I am director of brand management George Fox University, one of the top Christian colleges on the West Coast, where I serve as vice president of marketing and communications (as of May 15, 2008).

Call to action If this blog sounds interesting to you, please bookmark it or add it to your RSS. And if you act now, I’ll even throw in this photo of me smiling for mom.

Soon I will be launching a blog as part of my company web site and plan to include your site as one of my resource links.

My company is The Alumni Channel and our online alumni system is designed to increase alumni connections through a secure online alumni directory that will help connect an organization’s entire membership. Alumni self-register and create a profile that includes: graduation year, contact details including e-mail and current residence, and a personal message for friends to see.

I’m already enjoying reading your content! Thank you for setting this up.

    Sincerely,

    Chris Gehringer
